Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Senior Geotechnical Engineer to lead and expand our geotechnical practice in Northern California. This is a senior leadership role where you will manage large-scale projects, oversee risk management strategies, and contribute to business development efforts, particularly within the public sector. You will collaborate with technical teams across the state and play a key role in the growth of our organization. There is remote flexibility if located in the NorCal region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the geotechnical practice in Northern California, overseeing major projects and ensuring effective risk management.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across California to ensure successful project execution and client satisfaction.
- Drive business growth through client relationship management and strategic development, with a focus on public sector clients.
- Maintain a flexible work schedule with occasional travel, primarily within California.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
- California Licensed Geotechnical Engineer (GE).
- A minimum of 15 years of experience leading complex geotechnical projects and teams.
- Expertise in seismic analysis, design, and retrofitting methodologies.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with excellent communication and client engagement abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working on government projects in sectors such as water/wastewater, transportation, energy, and local/state agencies.
- Experience with levee and dam projects is a plus.
- A strategic thinker with a proactive approach to business development and client management.
