We are partnered with one of the fastest growing companies in Jacksonville, who are looking for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join their expadning team! Senior Geotechnical Engineers here report directly to the owner, and get trained to become Branch Managers in the next few years! Opportunities to specialize in the technical or management side of affairs, or to engage in business development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive geotechnical investigations, including soil testing, site assessments, and analysis for a backlog of projects.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to project teams, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Prepare detailed engineering reports, geotechnical designs, and project documentation.
- Collaborate with project managers and civil engineers to ensure integrated project delivery.
- Establish and cultivate relationships with technical and non-technical clients to generate business for the department.
- Oversee fieldwork and coordinate with subcontractors and laboratories to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Provide review of projects requiring complex and innovative investigation techniques and supervise the analysis and formulation of recommendations in written reports to clients.
- Supervise less experienced engineers or technical support personnel on projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering or related field.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Florida is required.
- 8+ years of Geotechnical Engineering experience
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in geotechnical software and tools.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
