LVI is partnering with one of the largest forensic consulting firms nationally who are looking for a senior-level forensic engineer to join and grow their forensic footprint in San Francisco. They allow their engineers who run the the engineering company make business decision which allowed this company to grow and expand quicker than any firm in the industry at the moment.
They are seeking a self-motivated engineer specializing in forensics who are ready to step into a role and be open to the future possibility of managing people and projects, while retaining the technical tasks that follow forensic engineering. They encourage their engineers to learn new areas to expand and touch different projects to develop good industry experience. Responsibilities:
- Investigate and diagnose issues with building envelope, structural design, materials, construction process
- Conduct on-site inspections including field testing, sampling, and documentation on new and existing buildings
- Travel to physical site locations to investigate and report on structural damages and failures
- Lead and manage both new and existing project
- Be recognized as an expert and capable of providing expert witness testimony
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering
- Master's Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering (Preferred)
- Professional Engineer (PE) in California
- Minimum 5 years of Forensic Structural Engineering Experience
- Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and travel by car / air to job sites
