LVI are currently seeking qualified accountants across Canada who have an interest in pursuing a career within Forensic Accounting.
In this role the successful candidate will have an opportunity to grow and develop their skill and experience for a global Forensic Accounting firm, who have 10+ offices across Canada, offering services in dispute analysis, quantification of economic losses, valuations and litigation support.
Responsibilities:
ยท Preliminary to intermediate analysis of sales, production and other accounting data
ยท Physical inventory observation, price testing
ยท Examination of source documents pertinent to engagement
ยท Checking and proofing reports and schedules
ยท Prepare preliminary draft of report narrative and schedules
ยท Analyze and reconcile claim to final calculation
ยท Research, data analysis and evaluation
ยท Invoice analysis
ยท Attend marketing events and functions with clients
ยท Experience in calculations of private equity valuations, commercial damages, economic damages and various forensic accounting assignments
Requirements:
ยท Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related area of study
ยท Ability to work well both independently and in a team environment, bringing positive energy to
the team
ยท A passion for business valuation and/or forensic accounting work
ยท Excellent financial modeling and writing skills
ยท Strong research and analytical skills
ยท Strong project management skills
ยท CPA credential or progress toward achieving CBV credential
ยท Proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
