Job Description:
New Jersey office is seeking a Senior Environmental Engineer.
This individual will manage project performance and execution, and provide lead technical support on remediation and compliance projects throughout the national environmental practice. Project management tasks include project planning and management; budget development and tracking; client, subcontractor and agency interaction; oversight of field staff; review and interpretation of data; and preparation of work plans and reports. Technical support tasks include development of investigation and remedial strategies; remedial design; and remedial construction oversight and management.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Project management including budget preparation and tracking, staffing and scheduling, and interaction with subcontractors, clients and regulatory agency representatives.
- Delegating and coordinate project tasks.
- Developing and adhering to project scopes and budgets.
- Designing and overseeing contaminated site investigations, including soil borings, monitoring well installation, indoor air quality assessment, and other environmental sampling.
- Developing and documenting Conceptual Site Models.
- Preparing and reviewing regulatory compliance reports.
- Developing and/or reviewing remediation strategies and specifications and designing and overseeing all technical aspects.
- Conducting treatability studies and designing and operating treatment systems.
- Conducting remedial alternatives analysis.
Qualifications:
- B.S. in Civil or Environmental Engineering, M.S. a plus.
- 10+ years of previous professional experience in environmental consulting, including project and task management, preparation of regulatory report submittals, and development of remedial specifications and designs.
- Knowledge of NJ environmental regulations.
- Professional Engineer license.
- Licensed Site Professional (LSRP).
- 40-hour HAZWOPER training.
- Valid U.S. Driver's license.
- Excellent computer skills with technical analysis software, CAD, MS Office, MS Project, PowerPoint, and other computer applications. Experience with GIS software a plus.
- Excellent technical writing and communication skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel on short-term assignments as needed.
