A global energy efficiency firm is looking for a Senior R&D Engineer (Electrical and Controls) in Singapore. The incumbent will be responsible for supporting and executing research projects related to electrical, power and controls systems (inverter controller, PLC etc.).
Responsibilities:
- Conduct research works pertaining to electrical engineering and control system (PLC)
- Continuous development of energy management system
- Guide and lead junior engineers in research and commercial works
- Engage with clients/partners on research topics and testing purposes
- Stay relevant to industry and innovate new solutions
- Lead junior engineers in research projects
- Provide on-site technical support on electrical and control systems capabilities and limitations
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering or any relevant disciplines
- 5+ years of working experience in research or development for electrical or control systems
- Familiarity in low carbon energy, smart grid, battery (BESS), utilities system would be a plus
- Programming skills to support research works
- Led a team of junior engineers before
- Experience in control theory and mathematical optimization is a plus
