One of the leading Renewable Energy System Integrators involved in Solar and Battery Storage is currently looking for a Security Architect to join their growing Hybrid Cloud Team! The Security Architect will have a lot of influence and impact on the team, essentially acting as the Technical Lead for both internal and external resources.
This person will also be responsible for the creation, planning, and oversight of the Security Solutions implementation for their project deployments.
This position allows for remote work!
Primary Job Functions, Security Architect:
- The lead Security Architect for projects and initiatives
- Supports the Information Security as well as Cyber Security program which will include:
- Cloud Security (AWS is preferred)
- Infrastructure and Network Security
- Application Security
- Cyber Threat Management
- Vulnerability and patch management
- Break down the security standards into Product and IT requirements
- Review vendor products, for any external technology standards, in addition to Internal IT Risk policies and provide consistent models for development
- Act as a trusted consultant to external stake holders and technology partners
Expected Skills, Knowledge and Abilities - Security Architect:
- Extensive experience with communicating with diverse teams both internal and external
- Strong critical thinking and analytic skills
- Expertise with security measures, including:
- Firewalls
- Intrusion Detection
- Network Access Controls
- Network Segmentation
- Understanding of security standards:
- NERC-CIP
- ISO-27001
- ISO-27002
- ISO-27019
- IEC 62443
- Advanced understanding of security protocols, cryptography, and best practices for security
- Extensive experience with secure development practices and key management services
- Experience implementing security solutions
- Respond to and investigate security breaches and provide in depth analysis
- *Keep up with the cutting edge of emerging security practices and standards
- Understanding of Syslog, SNMPv2, and SIEM approaches
Nice-to-haves, Security Architect:
- *Experience with externally conducted security audits
- Experience managing 3rd parties
- *Experience with penetration testing tools and processes
- *Experience with AWS KMS
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes Secrets
- Experience with advanced threat protection offerings from Fortinet or similar applications
Education Requirements, Security Architect:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT or related field
- Ability to work autonomously and or a member of a larger team
- 10 years experience in IT Risk Management and Information Security
- IT security OR risk assessment certifications
