Position Overview: As a Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer, you will be responsible for leading and managing complex water and wastewater engineering projects from concept to completion. You will leverage your technical expertise, project management skills, and business development acumen to deliver exceptional solutions to clients. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage water and wastewater engineering projects, including planning, design, construction oversight, and commissioning, ensuring high-quality project deliverables and adherence to budget and schedule.
- Provide technical expertise in the areas of water treatment, wastewater treatment, water distribution, sewer collection, and related infrastructure.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, designers, technicians, and project managers, to develop comprehensive and innovative engineering solutions.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering professional development and knowledge sharing within the team.
- Actively participate in business development efforts, including identifying potential clients, preparing proposals, attending client meetings, and contributing to the expansion of the company's client base.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring client satisfaction and repeat business.
- Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies related to water and wastewater engineering.
- Collaborate with regulatory agencies and stakeholders to ensure projects comply with relevant standards and regulations.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including design calculations, reports, drawings, and correspondence.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license in the state of California.
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in water and wastewater engineering, with a proven track record of successfully managing and delivering projects.
- Strong technical proficiency in water and wastewater treatment processes, hydraulic modeling, pipeline design, and related infrastructure.
- Proven business development experience, including client relationship management, proposal preparation, and networking.
- Exceptional project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and budget constraints.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proficiency in relevant software tools, such as AutoCAD, GIS, hydraulic modeling software, and project management software.
