We are seeking a dedicated Resident Engineer with a Professional Engineer (PE) license to oversee our heavy civil projects, primarily serving clients in the Department of Transportation (DOT). The Resident Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of construction projects, adherence to specifications, and maintaining a high level of client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Oversight: Manage and supervise all aspects of construction projects, ensuring compliance with contract documents, plans, and specifications.
- Client Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for DOT clients, ensuring effective communication and addressing client concerns promptly.
- Team Leadership: Lead a team of inspectors and engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure project success.
- Quality Assurance: Implement quality assurance/control procedures to verify that work is completed in accordance with project requirements and industry standards.
- Construction Management: Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to resolve technical issues, review change orders, and manage project schedules.
- Reporting and Documentation: Prepare detailed progress reports, inspection reports, and documentation for client review and internal records.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, environmental regulations, and DOT requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
