Key Responsibilities:
- Design: Create detailed designs for overhead distribution lines that meet client specifications and regional standards.
- Field Surveys: Conduct field surveys (in-state and out-of-state), assess structure strengths, review electrical clearances, and prepare construction packages.
- Project Management: Independently manage distribution line projects, delegate tasks, and oversee the entire project life-cycle.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to less experienced engineers.
- Travel: Up to 25% travel required for site visits and client meetings.
- Flexibility: Perform additional duties as assigned, including temporary fill-ins for other roles.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in designing overhead transmission power lines using PLS-CADD.
- Licenses: Professional Engineer (PE) license desired.
- Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Software: Proficiency in Excel and AutoCAD is a plus.
- Travel: Valid driver's license for multi-state travel required.
