Job Description:
This reputable company is seeking a collaborative and eager Environmental Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives across various projects. This role involves working closely with project teams to ensure continued adherence to environmental regulations and standards for the company's various assets across the U.S.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide assistance with due diligence for new acquisitions and support for divestitures.
- Analyze and interpret contracts, permits, and environmental regulations.
- Assess air and water emissions to ensure they meet environmental standards.
- Keep detailed records and manage documentation related to environmental compliance.
- Periodically travel to various operating plants and due diligence sites.
- Liaise with regulatory agencies and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in environmental compliance and due diligence, preferably within an operating plant environment
- Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and standards.
- Excellent reading, writing, math, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
