Their Georgia water group is looking for a Waste/Wastewater - Project Manager to join their growing team. Successful candidates for these opportunities will be responsible for providing technical, management, and staff support for a variety of infrastructure-related projects, primarily involving the design of water/wastewater treatment facilities, pipelines, pump stations, and wastewater collection systems.
The Role:
- Assist with the execution of projects from conceptual planning phases through final plans, specifications, and estimate bid packages.
- Provide technical design support for infrastructure related projects for water distribution, water and wastewater treatment and sanitary sewer collection systems.
- Maintain existing client relationships and help develop new client and project opportunities.
- Ensure technical accuracy, standard engineering practices and inclusion of appropriate documentation on various reports and design projects.
- Perform engineering interpretation of specifications and drawings, recommending and documenting design modifications, and coordinating with the design team.
- Make independent assessment of engineering problems and recommend solutions to engineering discipline leads, resolve questions, plan, coordinate, and execute work in a safe, timely, cost effective and compliant manner.
- Achieve financial targets in relation to backlog, utilization, and invoicing.
- Manage and mentor technical staff.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Water Resource Engineering or Environmental Engineering.
- 8+ years of experience.
- Professional Engineer (PE) in Civil or Environmental Engineering, registered in Georgia.
- Competency in technical project execution and in writing and pricing scopes of work for proposals.
- This position could require periodic travel, approximately 15%.
