Position Overview:
The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of solar energy projects in Taiwan. This role requires a strong leader with a deep understanding of the renewable energy industry, particularly solar, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and project phases efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Execution:
- Lead the end-to-end project management process from initial concept through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, and ensure adherence throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) teams to ensure technical and regulatory compliance.
Stakeholder Management:
- Liaise with internal teams, clients, contractors, and government agencies to ensure smooth project progression.
- Manage relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment on project goals and expectations.
- Resolve conflicts and issues that arise during project execution.
Risk Management & Compliance:
- Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact.
- Ensure all project activities comply with local regulations, industry standards, and environmental guidelines.
- Monitor and report on project progress, including risk, quality, and performance metrics.
Financial Management:
- Oversee project financials, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
- Manage contracts and ensure timely payment and cost management throughout the project lifecycle.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor a team of project engineers, coordinators, and support staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Ensure effective communication and collaboration across all project teams.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within the renewable energy sector, with a strong focus on solar projects.
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale solar projects in Taiwan or the APAC region.
- Strong knowledge of Taiwan's regulatory environment and permitting processes for renewable energy projects.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Fluency in Mandarin and proficiency in English
