A global water firm is looking to fill a Project/Plant Manager role for the Water/Wastewater Treatment sector in the UAE. This is a good opportunity to join a well established firm.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the overall project and plant operations, including planning, design, construction, commissioning, and ongoing operations.
- Develop and implement project plans, budgets, and schedules, ensuring that they are completed on time and within budget.
- Coordinate with stakeholders, contractors, and vendors to ensure that project requirements are met.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the plant, ensuring that it is operated safely and efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Ensure that appropriate procedures and protocols are in place for the safe and efficient operation of the plant.
- Manage the plant's staffing needs, including hiring, training, and scheduling of staff, as well as managing performance and providing ongoing feedback.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and regulatory authorities.
- Ensure that all plant activities comply with environmental regulations and that the plant is operated in an environmentally responsible manner.
- Develop and implement plans for plant upgrades and improvements, as required.
Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree in engineering, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in project management, preferably in the desalination or water treatment industry.
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage complex projects and multiple stakeholders simultaneously.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
- Strong technical knowledge of desalination or water treatment processes and equipment.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
- Fluent in speaking Arabic is a plus
- UAE national is preferred.
