The company has been in business for 23 years and is a nationwide general contractor. Their primary goal is to restore existing structures, collaborating closely with engineers and owners.
Anyone wishing to transition from building science consultancy, or with project management or estimating expertise for other restoration-related organisations, is welcome to apply for this role.
They require at least four years of experience in the building envelope/construction sector, either in estimating or consulting. As well as:
- Proficiency with Foxit/Adobe PDF authoring tools, Excel for estimations, and BlueBeam for takeoffs
- Possession of a C.E.T., P.Tech., P.Eng., or E.I.T. designation is preferable
- Ability to manually sketch building envelope details and tie-ins for field workers
- Experience finding alternative materials or construction procedures with the goal of decreasing cost.
Responsibilities Include:
- Preparing comprehensive estimates by estimating field personnel production, obtaining materials and equipment, and doing quantity take-offs.
- Participating in site meetings with owners, contractors, and consultants.
- Managing field workers to guarantee adherence to specifications and estimate/tender drawings.
- Taking responsibility for the successful delivery of the estimate, as well as the ultimate successful delivery of the project.
