Position Overview: As a Project Manager, you will play a critical role in the successful delivery of renewable energy projects from conception to completion. Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Execution:
- Lead the planning and execution of renewable energy projects, including solar, and energy storage developments.
- Develop project timelines, budgets, and resource plans to ensure successful project delivery.
- Coordinate with internal teams, external contractors, and stakeholders to drive project progress and meet key milestones.
Risk Management and Compliance:
- Identify and mitigate project risks through proactive risk assessment and management strategies.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, environmental standards, and safety protocols throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor project performance metrics and implement corrective actions as needed to address deviations from project goals.
Stakeholder Engagement and Communication:
- Establish and maintain effective communication channels with project stakeholders, including investors, clients, regulatory agencies, and local communities.
- Provide regular project updates and reports to stakeholders, highlighting progress, challenges, and opportunities.
- Address stakeholder inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner to maintain positive relationships and project alignment.
Resource Management and Procurement:
- Manage project resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to optimize project efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Coordinate procurement activities, vendor selection, and contract negotiations to secure necessary resources and services for project implementation.
- Monitor project budget and expenditures, tracking variances and implementing cost-saving measures where appropriate.
Quality Assurance and Commissioning:
- Oversee quality assurance processes and procedures to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
- Coordinate commissioning activities, testing, and validation to verify the performance and functionality of renewable energy systems.
- Facilitate handover of completed projects to operations and maintenance teams, providing necessary documentation and training for ongoing management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, preferably within the renewable energy industry.
- Strong understanding of renewable energy technologies, project development processes, and regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven track record of managing complex projects, delivering results on time and within budget.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is a plus.
