Position Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will have demonstrated leadership qualities and relevant work experience in leading project teams and providing planning, design, and construction phase engineering services for public and private infrastructure projects. Services include modeling, treatment, pumping, storage, and piping for potable water, stormwater, and wastewater systems. Representative client sectors include city, state, county, federal, special districts, and commercial/industrial clients.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of experience with increasing responsibility in the civil engineering profession with a focus in water resources engineering, which includes potable water, stormwater, and wastewater
- Licensed Professional Engineer in Illinois
- Strong knowledge of and experience using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, and/or GIS software packages
- Strong professional network required along with participation in professional organizations for continuous improvement of technical skills
- Experience with process mechanical design such as hydrology, hydraulics, and modeling
- Experience and knowledge of permitting process with regulatory agencies
- Experience with public infrastructure or public utilities
- Experience in writing proposals, reports, and engineering project documents
- Excellent oral and written communications
