SUMMARY
The Project Engineer will be responsible for project performance and ensuring quality control on deliverables. The ideal candidate will excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, handling multiple projects simultaneously and collaborating effectively with team members.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the production of civil construction plans and design reports.
Manage several projects concurrently.
Utilize time efficiently to complete assigned tasks accurately, on schedule, and within budget.
Prepare construction documents, technical specifications, reports, and technical memos.
Lead, organize, and manage small teams of personnel (EIT, designers, and drafters).
Assist project managers in preparing and managing project schedules and budgets.
Conduct quality reviews of personal work and work by designers and engineers in accordance with the company's quality control program and processes.
Attend and participate in client meetings.
Contribute to the development of marketing proposals (prepare technical understanding and approach).
Assist in construction administration of projects, including reviewing and responding to contractor material submittals, RFIs, and change order requests.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
Professional Engineer (PE) registration in Arizona OR ability to obtain an Arizona PE license within 6 months of employment.
5-7 years of experience in civil engineering.
At least 3 years of experience working with CAD.
Demonstrated knowledge of grading & drainage design, civil site design, stormwater/sewer/water design, and dry utility coordination preferred.
Familiarity with municipal codes and agency permitting/approval processes.
Prior experience in commercial/site development preferred.
Strong technical writing skills and the ability to convey engineering decisions and concepts to both non-technical and technically-based audiences.
