Our client are seeking a Hydrology & Hydraulics Professional Engineer to join a growing team focused on delivering high-quality stormwater and flood management solutions. This role involves leading and mentoring staff, managing project budgets and schedules, and developing hydrologic and hydraulic models for a variety of infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a client-focused mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in growing the Hydrology & Hydraulics (H&H) Team and supporting the Team Leader.
- Manage projects, including budget, scope, and schedule oversight.
- Develop hydrologic and hydraulic models, analyses, reports, and designs.
- Conduct QA/QC on reports, models, and designs to ensure high standards.
- Coordinate with agencies, contractors, and consultants to facilitate project completion.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff to support their professional development.
- Support business development initiatives, including proposal preparation, client engagement, and marketing efforts.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Texas P.E. License required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in civil engineering and H&H design.
- Strong leadership, communication, and client relationship-building skills.
- Knowledge of Houston Metro area regulatory standards and agency requirements.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet client deadlines efficiently.
Preferred Software Skills:
- Required: HEC-RAS (1D/2D preferred), HEC-HMS.
- Preferred: XP-SWMM or similar software, GIS (ArcMap/Pro), AutoCAD.
- Proficient: MS Word, Excel (including formulas), Outlook, and PowerPoint.
