Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage projects involving building envelope systems, including roofing, waterproofing, wall systems, and fenestration.
* Perform detailed condition assessments, forensic investigations, and failure analysis to identify root causes and develop effective remediation strategies.
* Design and oversee testing programs to evaluate building envelope performance, providing actionable recommendations.
* Develop comprehensive construction documents, specifications, and construction administration services for building envelope systems.
* Serve as an expert witness in legal proceedings related to building envelope systems.
* Cultivate and maintain client relationships, leveraging networking and marketing efforts to identify new business opportunities.
* Mentor and guide junior staff members, fostering their professional development.
* Stay up-to-date with industry trends and actively participate in industry organisations.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
* Minimum of 7 years of experience in building envelope consulting or a related field (preferred).
* Deep knowledge of building envelope systems, including roofing, waterproofing, wall systems, and fenestration.
* Proven experience in conducting condition assessments, forensic investigations, and failure analysis.
* Strong background in developing and implementing building envelope testing programs.
* Proficiency in building envelope system design, construction documents, specifications, and construction administration.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Effective project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects concurrently.
* Professional licensure (PE, RA, or IIBEC credential) preferred.
* Experience with expert witness testimony is a plus.
