Role Overview:
As the Principal / Technical Director Hydrogeologist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our hydrogeological initiatives and leading a team of skilled professionals. You will guide the development and implementation of comprehensive hydrogeological studies, manage projects from inception to completion, and collaborate with clients and stakeholders to achieve strategic goals. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving innovation and ensuring the long-term sustainability of water resources.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of hydrogeologists, scientists, and engineers in designing, executing, and managing complex groundwater projects.
- Develop innovative approaches to groundwater resource assessment, modeling, and management to meet client needs and regulatory requirements.
- Provide technical expertise in hydrogeological investigations, data analysis, and modeling to support project decision-making.
- Collaborate closely with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes and build lasting relationships.
- Lead the preparation of technical reports, presentations, and proposals for a range of audiences.
- Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and advancements in the field of hydrogeology.
Qualifications:
- Master's or Ph.D. degree in Hydrogeology, Geology, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in hydrogeological consulting, with 5 years in a leadership capacity.
- Expertise in hydrogeological modeling software (MODFLOW, FEFLOW, etc.) and data analysis tools.
- Strong understanding of groundwater flow, contaminant transport, and aquifer characterization.
- Proven experience managing and successfully delivering hydrogeological projects.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Professional certifications (e.g., P.G., CHG) are highly desirable.
- Experience with sustainable water resource management and integrated water planning is a plus.
