Experience:
- You should have expertise in the analysis and evaluation of existing structures and infrastructure, with demonstrated success working in an engineering consulting environment.
- Technical specialties of interest include forensic structural engineering investigation of catastrophes and failures, non-destructive evaluation and repair of existing structures, particularly concrete structures, and structural vulnerability and risk assessment.
- You will also have demonstrated experience leading and managing operations of a team and developing client relationships.
- You must possess a minimum of a master's degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering and have a minimum of ten years of consulting experience.
- Licensure as a Professional Engineer or Structural Engineer is required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct engineering analyses and investigations, and provide consultation in field of specialty, to help clients and staff solve technical problems;
- Help to ensure group profitability by generating business to sustain productivity of self and others on the Structural Engineering & Evaluation team;
- Build and sustain effective relationships with current and potential clients;
- Explore and develop new markets with other senior staff;
- Aid in the development of junior staff through mentoring/coaching;
- Develop proposals, including project scopes, budgets, and schedules, and obtain client approvals to proceed;
- Manage multiple projects within specified timeline and within budget;
- Schedule, coordinate, and delegate project work;
- Select and train project team members and review work, giving feedback as appropriate;
- Analyze and interpret project results and prepare reports;
- Proactively participate in professional organizations and technical committees;
- Author technical papers and make presentations at professional conferences;
- Suggest changes in work systems or methods, as appropriate, to improve quality and service;
- Proactively identify areas of learning and participate in professional development activities in order to maintain and enhance work knowledge and skills;
- Demonstrate awareness of employee safety by performing duties in accordance to company and OSHA guidelines;
- Maintain ethical standards by using sound judgment that benefits both and its customers.
