Currently working with a well-established electrical engineering firm with a over 20 year history in Australia. They are looking to bring on board a Power Systems Engineer to support their growing portfolio of renewable energy projects. This role focuses on grid connection projects and power systems modeling for new solar, wind, and battery storage projects.
The ideal candidate should have:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in power systems engineering within the energy or renewable energy sector.
- Proven experience in power system modeling and analysis, including load flow analysis, fault analysis, and stability studies.
- Proficiency in using power system analysis tools such as PSS/E, PSS Sincal, PSCAD/Dig Silent Power Factory.
- Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles related to transmission, distribution, generation, and control systems.
- Knowledge of NER s5.2 and s5.3 technical requirements and AEMO's Power Systems Modelling guidelines.
