As a Permit/Consent Manager, you will play a crucial role in facilitating the development of offshore wind projects in Taiwan by ensuring compliance with local regulations, particularly the Electricity Act. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks, including but not limited to the following:
Responsibilities:
Regulatory Monitoring: Stay up-to-date with relevant legislation and policy changes, providing strategic advice to the company for project development.
Permit Applications: Prepare and submit applications in strict adherence to the Electricity Act and all relevant regulations. This includes securing the Establishment Permit, Work Permit, and Electricity Business License.
Technical Documentation: Plan and coordinate the preparation of technical documents required for permit applications, ensuring alignment with project development timelines.
Public Engagement: Plan and deliver presentations during various events such as public hearings, site visits, and review meetings to engage with stakeholders and address concerns.
Permit Validation: Manage the validation of permits and ensure ongoing compliance with commitments at different development stages.
Stakeholder Relations: Build and nurture relationships with relevant authorities, including the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA), Environmental Protection Administration (EPA), Ocean Affairs Council (OAC), Ministry of the Interior (MOI), National Property Administration (NPA), and local city/county governments to support project development efforts.
Requirements:
Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of relevant experience in a similar field.
Education: Bachelor's degree, master's degree, or higher.
Language Skills: Proficiency in English is mandatory, with strong coordination and cooperation abilities. You should be a team player capable of collaborating with others to solve problems and share knowledge.
Industry Knowledge: Possess relevant knowledge in the energy/offshore wind industry.
Cultural Awareness: Exhibit cultural sensitivity and demonstrate effective communication and collaboration with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
Respect and Inclusivity: Show respect for others and the ability to work with individuals from diverse academic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds.
Government Relations: Demonstrated experience in interacting with government authorities is highly desirable.
Emotional Intelligence: Possess a high level of emotional intelligence to effectively engage with various internal and external stakeholders.
