A utility-scale energy storage developer based in Colorado is looking for a Performance Engineer. The Colorado based developer has a portfolio of 1 GW so far in 2021, and they are looking to double in size. The Performance Engineer should have utility-scale battery energy storage experience. The right Candidate will report to the Director of Energy Storage Solutions, while also working closely with the Director of Asset Management.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage technical procedures for successful operating project performance monitoring and optimization
- Perform system quality control inspections for completeness of installation vs. install manuals, engineering specifications and drawings
- Assist in troubleshooting, prepare and review project close outand testing documents
- Report daily, weekly, and monthly on progress, indicators, and recovery plans to upper management
Qualifications:
- Must have thorough understanding of the technical, performance, and integration of Li-Ion batteries (per ESS) and DC/AC systems
- Understanding of containerized systems, skids, controllers, SCADA, transformers, combiners
- Quality control inspections,
- Experience with control and SCADA systems, troubleshooting programmable logic controllers (PLC) and industrial electronic equipment (protection relays, inverters, BMS)
- Independent self-starter who can manage projects and work with a diverse team
