Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Offshore Substation Electrical Manager to oversee the electrical systems of our offshore wind project based in Taiwan. The successful candidate will manage the electrical operations, maintenance, and performance of the offshore substation, ensuring all activities meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Management: Lead a team of electrical engineers and technicians, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure effective performance and professional development.
Project Oversight: Oversee the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical systems in the offshore substation, including transformers, switchgear, and control systems.
Safety & Compliance: Ensure all electrical operations adhere to safety regulations and industry standards. Implement and monitor safety procedures to prevent accidents and equipment failures.
Technical Expertise: Provide technical support and troubleshooting for electrical issues. Ensure the substation's electrical systems operate efficiently and reliably.
Quality Assurance: Monitor and verify that all electrical work is performed to the highest quality standards. Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with project specifications.
Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to coordinate activities, resolve issues, and ensure project milestones are met.
Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of electrical systems, maintenance activities, and performance reports. Prepare and present reports on project status and electrical system performance.
Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in electrical systems and processes. Propose and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and reliability.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Chartered Engineer, PMP) is advantageous.
Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in electrical engineering, with at least 5 years in a managerial role on offshore wind projects or similar environments.
Skills: Strong knowledge of offshore substation electrical systems, including high-voltage equipment, power distribution, and control systems. Proficiency in safety standards and regulatory requirements.
Technical Proficiency: Experience with electrical design, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Familiarity with industry-specific software and tools.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Mandarin. Ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Adaptability: Ability to work in a dynamic offshore environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
