Responsibilities
- Involvement with managing the CEQA process for infrastructure projects preferred (maintaining project schedules, interaction with subcontractors and clients, budgeting, etc.)
- Strong writing skills, sharp attention to detail, and the ability to review/prepare technical reports and repackage them for inclusion in public documents is essential
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills that enable them to effectively interact with clients, project stakeholders, and senior staff on a range of issues
- While not a requirement of the position, candidates with the ability to perform fieldwork or other studies to support environmental impact analyses would be able to use these skills in this position
Qualifications
- B.S. in Environmental Studies, Biology, Ecology, Engineering, or a similar field
- 5-10 years of experience
- Experience working with California regulatory agencies and preparing clear and defensible CEQA documentation including but not limited to: Initial Studies, Mitigated Negative Declarations, and Environmental Impact Reports
- A demonstrated ability to retain a complex degree of knowledge relating to environmental laws, regulations and policies is preferred
- Experience with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and CEQA Plus documentation is preferred
