A successful candidate should expect involvement with managing the CEQA process for infrastructure projects preferred. Strong writing skills, sharp attention to detail, and the ability to review/prepare technical reports and repackage them for inclusion in public documents is essential. The successful candidate will have outstanding verbal and written communication skills that enable them to effectively interact with clients, project stakeholders, and senior staff on a range of issues.
Qualifications
- B.S. in Environmental Studies, Biology, Ecology, Engineering, or a similar field
- 5-12 years of experience
- Experience working with California regulatory agencies and preparing clear and defensible CEQA documentation including but not limited to: Initial Studies, Mitigated Negative Declarations, and Environmental Impact Reports
- Ability to retain a complex degree of knowledge relating to environmental laws, regulations and policies is preferred
- Experience with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and CEQA Plus documentation is preferred
