We have a current opportunity for a mid-senior level Relay Engineer on a permanent basis. The position is hybrid flexible out of Craig County, Oklahoma.
This role involves supporting the design and development of relay settings, evaluating time-current coordination curves, estimating project costs, ordering materials, and managing projects related to protective relays, control systems, and metering systems. The aim is to ensure the reliable operation of substations, SCADA, and RTU systems.
Responsibilities also include:
- Development of relay protection schemes using microprocessor-based relays to protect T&D assets
- Develop logic settings to support desired relay schemes
- Perform area protective device coordination studies
- Work closely with other engineering and project management team members to coordinate overall project deliverable
- Perform other department duties as required
Qualifications:
- Graduate of four year college or university with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
- 2-8+ years of related engineering experience, ideally within a Utility setting
- Experience with development of relay settings for microprocessor relays (SEL experience preferred)
- Experience with short circuit modeling (ASPEN, CAPE, SKM, etc)
- Ability to work effectively with various organizational groups within the firm
