As our new Project Engineer/Architect, you will have the opportunity to work on unique and interesting projects while advancing your career within an inclusive and supportive environment. Focusing on on Building Enclosure systems along with mastering an understanding of the key principles of vapour control, moisture, air and heat within the assembly and materials of the enclosure. Requirement for experience with curtainwalls, storefronts, masonry, exterior cladding, roofing, waterproofing, windows, doors and composite panels. Successful members of the team are confident in managing various tasks for multiple small to medium tasks simultaneously.
Responsibilities:
Use leadership skills and technical abilities to solve unique problems
- Practice skills within various roles, such as Enclosure Design Consultant, Forensic Enclosure Consultant , learn and practice areas within Building Enclosure Commissioning (Building Envelope Commissioning Specialist).
- Conduct building enclosure consulting services related to performance testing of architectural elements, evaluation, repair, design of façade & roofing systems
- Evaluate investigations & designs for repairs caused by water leakage or other moisture-induced damage
- Perform field tests including windows-doors-curtainwalls-storefronts-skylights-masonry-metal-composite panels-exterior cladding-roofing
- Design contract documents relating renovation-restoration-preservation-existing buildings
-Conduct third-party peer reviews focused on both construct-ability-performances about building enclosures.
-Site observation newly installed envelope components.
-Hygrothermal analysis wall-& roof-assemblies
-Direct client interaction-team-building-project-management
To be considered for this role applicants must meet these requirements:
-A Bachelor's degree in Civil Structural Engineering / Architecture (Master's&PhD preferred)
-An active License Architect/Licensed Engineer status required.
-Minimum 3 -6 year's experience relevant position(s)
-The desire conduct hands-on field investigations
-Willingness for travel depending on job assignment workload
-Possess a valid driver license
