Estimator - Heavy Civil Sector
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Estimator to join our team in the thriving heavy civil sector of Raleigh, North Carolina. This permanent position is perfect for someone who thrives on precision and has a passion for construction within large-scale infrastructure projects.
As an estimator, you will play a pivotal role in analyzing costs and preparing estimates that ensure competitive bids and successful project delivery. Your expertise will contribute significantly to laying down the financial groundwork necessary for some of the most substantial heavy civil works this side of NC.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation
- Prepare detailed cost analysis including labor rates/materials/equipment
- Work closely with contractors & engineers during bid preparation
Required Skills:
*Estimating: Mastery in calculating material quantities needed from plans/specifications; also includes understanding how job conditions may affect those estimates.
*Heavy Civil Knowledge: Familiarity with large scale engineering projects such as highways/bridges/dams which require specialized knowledge beyond typical building construction.
*Construction Acumen: Strong grasp over construction processes/practices ensuring credible estimations aligned with industry standards across different stages - pre-construction through completion.
