My client are seeking a Senior Drainage & H&H Engineer/Team Lead to join a dynamic and growth-focused team. This role offers the opportunity to lead innovative stormwater and flood control projects while mentoring and developing a team of engineers and technicians. The ideal candidate is a natural leader with a passion for problem-solving, client engagement, and project management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in procuring new projects with innovative and creative solutions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and project teams.
- Establish clear communication protocols and ensure project expectations align with scope, schedule, and deliverables.
- Manage feasibility studies, drainage impact analysis, conveyance analysis, and flood control projects.
- Utilize advanced modeling tools such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, EPA SWMM, XP & PC SWMM, KYPIPE, and ArcGIS.
- Oversee 1D, 2D, and coupled 1D-2D modeling for project development.
- Mentor and manage graduate engineers, professional engineers, and sub-consultants.
- Navigate the full project lifecycle, from concept to completion, while ensuring compliance with local drainage criteria and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in the State of Texas.
- Minimum of 6+ years of experience in Drainage and H&H Engineering.
- Strong project management skills with familiarity in design software.
- Ability to lead and inspire a team, ensuring project success and client satisfaction.
- Valid driver's license required.
