Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineer to join our team and contribute to groundbreaking research and development for floating offshore wind turbines. This role will focus on advancing Japan's renewable energy capacity by applying expertise in structural analysis and design. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in concrete and steel structures and must be fluent in Japanese.
Key Responsibilities:
- Structural Analysis & Design: Conduct detailed structural analysis and design for floating offshore wind turbine systems, including both concrete and steel components.
- Research & Development: Lead research initiatives to improve the performance, safety, and efficiency of floating offshore wind turbines.
- Technical Expertise: Apply advanced engineering principles to solve complex structural challenges and optimize designs for floating platforms.
- Collaboration: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, researchers, and contractors, to integrate design solutions into practical applications.
- Documentation & Reporting: Prepare comprehensive technical reports, design documentation, and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations.
Requirements:
- Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree or higher in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Extensive experience in structural analysis and design of concrete and steel structures.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in structural engineering software and tools. Demonstrated experience with floating structures or offshore engineering is a plus.
- Language Skills: Fluency in Japanese is required for effective communication and writing articles in Japanese.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to address complex engineering challenges.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with floating offshore wind turbine projects.
- Familiarity with Japanese regulations and standards related to offshore structures.
- Ability to work in a collaborative and dynamic research environment.
