Geotechnical Staff Engineer
Job Overview: We are looking for a Geotechnical Staff Engineer to join our team. In this role, you'll oversee geotechnical construction-phase projects, collaborate with clients and subcontractors, and perform engineering analyses for diverse projects in educational facilities, private developments, and infrastructure improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Work on a variety of geotechnical projects across multiple markets.
- Field Leadership: Coordinate field technicians and inspectors on construction-phase projects.
- Team Collaboration: Organize and coordinate tasks with team members, clients, and subcontractors.
- Engineering Analysis: Perform engineering calculations and technical analyses, and prepare reports.
- Client Engagement: Participate in client meetings to discuss project requirements and your work.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, with a focus on geotechnical engineering.
- Licenses: California PE license required; GE license is a bonus.
- Skills: Basic knowledge of soil mechanics and foundation engineering.
- Software: Familiarity with geotechnical software (e.g., gINT, SLIDE, LPile).
- Experience: Previous experience with geotechnical inspection work and active construction sites.
