We are seeking a highly skilled Foundation Package Manager to join our client's offshore wind team. As the Foundation Package Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, planning, procurement, and execution of the foundation package for our offshore wind projects. Your primary objective will be to ensure the successful and timely delivery of foundation infrastructure while adhering to safety standards, budgetary constraints, and quality requirements. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to optimize project performance and achieve project goals.
- Develop and implement the strategy for the foundation package, considering technical requirements, project timelines, and cost efficiency.
- Coordinate and manage all aspects of the foundation package, including design, planning, procurement, installation, and quality control.
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, contractors, and installers for foundation construction and ensure their compliance with project specifications.
- Collaborate with the Project Control team to ensure effective budget management and adherence to financial targets.
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers, contractors, and other stakeholders involved in the foundation package.
- Monitor and manage contractor and supplier performance, ensuring adherence to project schedules, scope, and quality standards.
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks and issues related to the foundation package, implementing appropriate corrective actions as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations throughout the foundation package lifecycle.
- Collaborate with the design team to optimize foundation design, considering factors such as availability, durability, and lifecycle costs.
- Provide technical and commercial input during contract negotiations and reviews, identifying opportunities for cost savings and value enhancement.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, promoting innovation and lean principles within the foundation package team.
- Support the project leadership in decision-making processes, providing timely and accurate information regarding the foundation package status and performance.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to offshore wind foundation construction.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
- Proven experience in managing foundation packages for offshore wind projects or similar large-scale construction projects.
- Strong technical knowledge of offshore wind foundation design, installation methods, and quality control processes.
- Solid understanding of project management principles, including budgeting, scheduling, and risk management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong negotiation and contract management abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications and project management software.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a solution-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to travel to project sites and supplier locations as required.
