LVI Associates are working with a highly reputable firm, with over 9 offices country wide. They are very ambitious and looking to grow through a series of strategic hires. They are looking for an independent and ambitious person, with an entrepreneurial mindset, to grow into a management role within the firm. Strong and engaging leadership. They will provide engineering-related analysis on a variety of diverse construction projects and structures, while investigating and resolving property, surety, and construction defect insurance claims. In this dynamic role, you will also be responsible for managing assignments and personnel while working with marketing and sales personnel in business development
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert forensic analysis - provide analysis and consultation on various construction claims including surety, property, and construction defect failures
- Perform and supervise field inspections of residential, commercial, and/or industrial projects for contract conformity code compliance and/or assessment of cause and origin damages
- Coordinate and provide information in a manner satisfactory to clients' expectations
- Provide written and verbal repair estimates on structures
- Provide expert testimony and/or depositions as needed for assigned projects
- Identify and pursue new business development opportunities
Key Requirements
- Applicant must be a registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Maryland or Virginia, multiple P.E. licensure in surrounding states preferred
- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in related Engineering field: civil or structural or architecture
- Previous forensic experience (5 years) is highly preferred
- Previous expert testimony or deposition experience highly preferred
- Hands-on engineering experience (structural/mechanical/electrical investigations, etc.)
- Team oriented and enjoy service-oriented work
- Honest and ethical business practices at all times
- Willing to work from a remote office setting while traveling from project site to project site
