Summary
This role requires strong mechanical aptitude to support and service advanced water treatment systems across diverse applications. The Field Service Technician will install, repair, and commission process technologies such as reverse osmosis (RO), demineralization (DI), ultraviolet (UV), water softeners, ion exchange, filtration, and chemical treatment systems. Extensive travel (80%), including some international, is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide professional customer support during field visits.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues.
- Perform system maintenance, repairs, and testing.
- Oversee equipment startups and train customer personnel.
- Collaborate with automation teams to verify system operations.
- Maintain positive relationships with clients, engineers, and operators.
- Document service activities and generate reports.
- Stay current with industry developments and technical training.
- Offer recommendations to improve equipment performance.
- Available for travel on short notice.
Qualifications
- Associate's degree, technical certification, or equivalent experience.
- Experience with water treatment systems and process troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of valves, pumps, and instrumentation (e.g., pressure, flow, pH, conductivity).
- Ability to interpret safety procedures, PFDs, P&IDs, and technical manuals.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Preferred: Experience with PLCs, HMI systems, and industrial software.
Physical Requirements
- Frequent standing, walking, kneeling, and climbing.
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
- Strong visual acuity for system diagnostics.
