The firm is seeking an Environmental Engineer to support various projects, including groundwater extraction and treatment system design, construction and operations support, groundwater and soil remediation investigation and design, and wastewater treatment design and construction.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with the Project Manager to ensure the completion of engineering scope within the required schedule and budget.
- Prepare engineering design drawings and specifications, technical reports, field investigations/site reconnaissance, project permitting, and coordination with regulatory agencies.
- Conduct engineering cost estimating and analysis, design calculations, bid and award services, RFI and submittal review, and construction phase engineering services.
- Support environmental projects including fieldwork, data management/tabulation and analysis, subcontractor oversight, and reporting.
- Prepare project scopes of work and budget estimates; coordinate with the team on design documents; coordinate with internal QA/QC reviewers, financial analysts, and administrative assistants.
- This position may require approximately 25% travel/fieldwork for site inspections and meetings with client site representatives and construction contractors.
Qualifications:
- B.S. or M.S. degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering with 5-10 years of experience.
- Licensed P.E. certification or ability to obtain within 1 year.
- Excellent writing and verbal communication skills for interaction with multi-disciplinary staff, clients, and regulatory agencies.
