Our firm is looking for an Environmental Department Manager to lead our environmental team in the Cleveland office. We pride ourselves on a flexible work schedule and are dedicated to our clients' needs while offering professional services across Northeast Ohio with a focus on working collaboratively across disciplines. This role involves coordinating environmental staff and managing environmental permitting and planning for private, public, and utility agencies across Ohio.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biology, Ecology, Environmental Science, Botany, Forestry, Wildlife, Fisheries, Natural Resources, Wetland Science, or a related field. A Master's degree or additional advanced degree is preferred.
* 15+ years of post-degree experience relevant to the associated body of work (including wetland delineations and permitting).
* Familiarity with various GPS equipment and electronic data collection.
* Familiarity with the U.S. Endangered Species Act and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).
Preferred Qualifications:
* PWS certification or the ability to obtain it within 6 months of hire.
* Ability to obtain the following ODOT Prequalification status within 6 months of hire: Ecological Surveys, Environmental Document Preparation (CE), Stream & Wetland Mitigation, and Waterway Permits.
* Experience completing other biological wildlife surveys.
* Experience with environmental grant funding sources and writing.
