Our firm is looking for an Environmental Department Manager to lead our environmental team in the Cleveland office. This role involves coordinating environmental staff and managing environmental permitting and planning for private, public, and utility agencies across Ohio.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biology, Ecology, Environmental Science, Botany, Forestry, Wildlife, Fisheries, Natural Resources, Wetland Science, or a related field. A Master's degree or additional advanced degree is preferred.
* 15+ years of post-degree experience relevant to the associated body of work (including wetland delineations and permitting).
* Familiarity with various GPS equipment and electronic data collection.
* Familiarity with the U.S. Endangered Species Act and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).
Preferred Qualifications:
* PWS certification or the ability to obtain it within 6 months of hire.
* Ability to obtain the following ODOT Prequalification status within 6 months of hire: Ecological Surveys, Environmental Document Preparation (CE), Stream & Wetland Mitigation, and Waterway Permits.
* Experience completing other biological wildlife surveys.
* Experience with environmental grant funding sources and writing.
