Position: Environmental Engineer/Scientist and Project Manager
Overview:
Join our team as an Environmental Engineer/Scientist and Project Manager, where you'll collaborate with our experienced consultants to guide our manufacturing, energy, solid waste, and natural gas clients through the complexities of ever-evolving environmental regulations. Your responsibilities will include environmental permitting (water, waste, hazardous materials), conducting compliance audits, and preparing compliance reports. This role may also involve fieldwork, including environmental monitoring and sampling of waste, soil, groundwater, and stormwater. You will engage with clients, contractors, and local government officials, influencing projects from conceptual design through regulatory review, bidding, and construction. Travel may be required.
Qualifications:
- B.S. in Civil/Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, or related Earth Sciences (M.S. preferred).
- Experience in environmental compliance and permitting.
- Proven ability to independently manage projects from proposal to final report preparation, including the management and development of professional staff.
- Experience preparing SWPPP and SPCC Plans, annual EPCRA Tier II and TRI reporting, Chemical Data Reporting under TSCA, general and individual NPDES permitting for stormwater and industrial discharges, and hazardous waste management.
- Strong professional communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to independently manage multiple aspects of projects, including coordination with internal teams, clients, and regulatory personnel.
- Capability to deliver consulting services to clients efficiently and effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
- P.E. licensure is a plus.
- Knowledge of PA, OH, WV regulations, and federal multi-media regulations.
- Experience with aboveground storage tank installation requirements and inspections is a plus.
- Air permitting experience is a plus.
- Strong business development and client interaction skills.
- Experience mentoring and developing junior technical staff.
- Experience working on various industrial sites and adhering to strict client-mandated safety protocols.
