Urgently looking for a Wind Engineering Manager (エンジニアリングマネジャー) to work for a leading International renewable energy firm in Tokyo, Japan. This company is coming up with a lot of exciting projects all over Japan and collaborating with a lot of Domestic and international players.
Belonging to the Project Services team and reporting to the discipline Department manager or the Principal Engineer, the Engineering Manager (エンジニアリングマネジャー) will be responsible for defining and implementing robust and cost-effective engineering strategies and plans, tendering, negotiating, installation, and maintenance contracts, planning, and implementing delivery sites and logistics, leading delivery phase including management of multiple offshore contractors and associated interfaces, technical acceptance criteria, and ensuring quality, best practices, and excellent H&SE performance are applied. The candidate will be managing engineering activities and decisions from a senior engineering perspective in offshore projects in Japan.
Main Role:
- Ensure that all internal employees and external consultants are working in accordance with companies' policy, Health, Safety, Quality and Environment
- Provide professional leadership and direction to the Project Service team members in Japan, potentially comprising employees working within several countries throughout the world, to ensure professional standards are maintained (or enhanced)
- Participate in team and company meetings, discussions, and workshops.
- Provide regular reporting for key challenges, solution, regulatory matters, risks, and project control related issues to Country Manager adequately and timely manner.
- Report project status and Japanese context to the Department Managers and other related discipline managers in Head Quarters and transfer its expertise and experience of Offshore Wind farms in Europe and the United States and other countries in an appropriate timing.
- Provide Engineering support and report on such matters as engineering feasibility,
infrastructure requirements, design for natural disasters, site investigations, grid connection.
- Manage due diligence of new opportunities, both external and internal, to support project supply Chain,
Requirements:
- 3 to 5 years of previous experience in taking care of Renewable energy projects or large-scale projects.
- No offshore wind experience is required.
- Only for people who are currently residing in Japan.
- Bachelor's degree (preferred masters) in economics, law engineering etc.
- Fluency in both English and Japanese is a must.
- Frequent visits to the site location so driving license are required.
