One of the leading Multi-National Renewable Energy Utilities is currently looking to bring on a Senior Project Manager for their upcoming Solar and Energy Efficiency Projects in the San Francisco Bay area. The projects will include a mix of energy efficiency measure, and renewable energy systems to help local cities, schools, counties and or any other public sector entity to become more sustainable and Eco friendly. The Senior Project Manager may be expected to manage 1 or multiple projects at any given time.
Senior Project Manager Primary Responsibilities:
- Run a project team to investigate, analyze, develop and eventually implement energy and water related improvements which could include:
- Solar
- Energy Storage
- LED Lighting Retrofits
- HVAC/Control Upgrades
- Water fixture and water meter retrofits
- SCADA upgrades
- Manage the project team through scheduled meetings in order to assign tasks and duties
- During those meetings you should also discuss/document project updates, needs and current progress
- Serve as the lead liaison to the client throughout the development and installation phases, in order to satisfy their requests
- Manage every aspect of the project which includes:
- Project Scope Development
- Savings Analysis
- Constructability of the measures to drive the initial project scope and needs of the client
- Develop and review all external deliverables which could include customer reports, bid packages, and contract documents
- Furthermore this will include all internal documents for risk review packages deal review documents, and project database records
- Work alongside the sales team for presentations shown to the client during the development phase including Board and Council meetings as needed
- Qualify vendors and subcontractors and identify the needs for any change orders
- Oversee the Construction Manager, Vendors, and Subcontractors to implement a project schedule
- Continuously monitor progress and provide the proper updates to internal and external stake holders
- Work alongside the Labor Compliance team to ensure all local labor compliance regulations are met
- Assist and coordinate with the post-construction teams for savings guarantees and expected maintenance requirements
Senior Project Manager Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree is preferred in either Engineering or Construction Management
- At least 7 years of relevant experience, which could include any relevant training and or certifications
- a PE is a Plus
- Analytical and Financial Analysis experience to predict customer project needs and expenses when managing the project budget
- Strong negotiation skills
- Ability to prepare and deliver accurate customer reports and RFX responses
- Proven track record of completing projects on time, within budget
- Ability to preform engineering design reviews
