The Electrical Engineer within the Power Team will be responsible for participating in a variety of consulting projects focused on power plant and waste-to-energy initiatives in the Asia region.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Develop design specifications and collaborate with clients, offering expert technical advice for all aspects of power plant development, including layout options, equipment selection for different voltage levels (low, medium, high), system components, essential infrastructure, and project implementation considerations.
Provide technical assistance to clients throughout the project lifecycle, including feasibility assessments, project evaluations, procurement evaluations, contractor/vendor engineering, project construction, commissioning, and performance testing.
Contribute to the creation of project proposals, utilizing the network of regional and international experts within the field when required.
Manage the technical requirements and delivery of projects.
Qualifications:
Hold a Master's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
Possess a minimum of 5 years of practical experience as an Electrical Engineer within the power sector, preferably gained within a professional services or consulting environment.
Progressive experience in the design and specification of power plant substations, switchgear, transformers, circuit breakers, system protection, and controls would be advantageous.
Familiarity with project management and project planning software tools.
Experience in collaborating with both public and private sector clients in the Asia region.
Interest in or willingness to develop expertise in renewable technologies such as Wind, Solar, and BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems) would be a plus.
Interest in or willingness to develop expertise in electrical systems designed for managing emerging fuels like biofuel, hydrogen, ammonia, etc., would be advantageous.
Familiarity and experience with electrical systems design software, including ETAP (Electrical Transient Analyzer Program), AutoCad Electrical, PLS CADD, and Bentley Substation, would be beneficial.
