They are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Designer to join their team and contribute to the development of world-class data center facilities.
Role Overview: As an Electrical Designer, you will play a crucial role in the design and implementation of electrical systems within our data center projects. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams of engineers, architects, and project managers to ensure the successful delivery of reliable and efficient electrical solutions that meet the unique requirements of our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and design electrical systems for data center projects, including power distribution, lighting, grounding, fire alarm, and security systems, while adhering to relevant codes and standards.
- Create detailed electrical schematics, layouts, and construction documents using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software.
- Collaborate with architects, mechanical engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate electrical systems seamlessly into the overall building design.
- Perform load calculations, power distribution analysis, and voltage drop calculations to ensure the reliability and efficiency of electrical systems.
- Participate in design reviews to ensure technical accuracy, compliance with project goals, and alignment with client expectations.
- Research and select appropriate electrical components, equipment, and materials to optimize performance and cost-effectiveness.
- Work closely with project managers to establish project schedules, budgets, and milestones related to electrical design and implementation.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior designers and engineers within the electrical design team.
- Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in electrical engineering to contribute to ongoing innovation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in electrical design, preferably within the data center, mission-critical, or building services sectors.
- Proficiency in using CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.) for electrical design and drafting.
- Strong understanding of electrical codes, standards, and regulations relevant to the Singaporean context.
- Familiarity with power distribution, lighting, grounding, fire alarm, and security systems design.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills to convey technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Professional certifications (PE, CEng, etc.) are advantageous.
