Experience:
- You will be a Practice Leader with professional experience in structural analysis, failure analysis and investigations of structural failures to join the Diagnostics Group.
- The role demands a blend of leadership skills in providing and assisting practice area staff in technical and business development, client management, industry involvement and external leadership, national and regional marketing and project development, and planning, related to this engineering practice's overall strategic goals in growth, technical development and project management.
- In this position, the qualified individual will perform structural and durability consulting, and related assessments of existing facilities, design structural repairs and modifications, and prepare technical reports and drawings. Additionally the qualified individual will take personal responsibility for projects, meet with clients and other stakeholders, and manage project deadlines and profitability.
Qualifications:
- 10 years' experience in assessment, investigation, and restoration repair design of building structures.
- Professional licensure (S.E) in IL
- Proficient with typical distress mechanisms in cast-in-place conventionally reinforced, post-tensioned, and precast concrete.
- Knowledge of waterproofing repairs.
- Experience in business development
- Demonstrated strength in providing excellent customer service.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Developing project plans and budgets including staffing and resources needs
- Providing guidance and QAQC leadership to team members regarding report writing, site visits, project meetings, technical design, and construction document preparation
- Working collaboratively with the national and local Diagnostics leadership to develop annual business development & marketing plan
- Perform field investigations, including the use of non-destructive testing and remote data acquisition techniques, travel required
- Analyze proposed repair/design options
- Develop opinions of probable construction costs
- Formulate life cycle cost analysis for repair options
- Design and draft repair drawings and details
- Prepare construction documents such as repair drawings and specifications
- Observe construction and installation of repairs/designs in the field
