Summary
- The company is one of the leading renewable energy company in the U.S. with a substantial backing, development platform and substantial wind and solar portfolio. The role of the Director of project development will be an intentional growth hire in order to build out the companies greenfield, utility scale, solar and onshore wind development team and will play a critical role in the development of new projects throughout the U.S.
Responsibilities
- This role will focus on the greenfield development of new solar projects in order to increase the MW within the company's solar portfolio
- Identification, assessment and execution of potential partnerships, acquisitions and future solar development projects
- Manage the interconnection process, land acquisitions, project permitting and application all while working closely with the solar development and cross functional team
Qualifications
- 8+ years solar development experience necessary
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in a related field including but not limited to solar development, renewable energy development or environmental studies as well as business
- Successful track record of solar project development and deal sheet to provide context to previous project and active MW
