Job Title: Director of Business Development

Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Business Development to join our team in either Los Angeles or Georgia. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in film, television, gaming, and large special events, with a proven track record of creating and securing business opportunities. This role will focus on expanding our presence in virtual production, virtual art department, AR/XR, screen technology, and supporting production and technical services.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Strategy Development:
- Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies to drive growth in virtual production, virtual art department, AR/XR, and screen technology sectors.
- Identify and evaluate new business opportunities and partnerships that align with the company's goals.
Market Analysis and Research:
- Conduct market research to identify trends, competitive landscape, and potential clients.
- Analyze market data to inform strategic decisions and business proposals.
Client and Partner Relations:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, industry partners, and key stakeholders in the film, television, gaming, and special events industries.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for new and existing clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and engagement.
Sales and Revenue Generation:
- Drive revenue growth through strategic sales initiatives and targeted business development efforts.
- Prepare and deliver compelling business proposals and presentations to prospective clients and partners.
Project Management:
- Oversee the lifecycle of business development projects from concept to completion.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the successful execution of projects and client deliverables.
Industry Engagement:
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking functions to promote our capabilities and expand our professional network.
- Stay abreast of industry developments and emerging technologies to keep the company at the forefront of innovation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Film, Media, or a related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role within the film, television, gaming, or special events industries.
- Proven track record of successfully developing and securing new business opportunities.
- Strong understanding of virtual production, virtual art department, AR/XR, screen technology, and associated production and technical services.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to think strategically and creatively to identify and capitalize on business opportunities.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients, partners, and attend industry events.
