Company Summary: Founded in 2007 by two US Army veterans, this company is a community and C&I scale solar developer, working with communities, businesses, and municipalities to democratize clean energy and support US energy independence. Today, they have developed and constructed over 126 solar farms through out the US. Recently, they group secured over $400 million in tax equity funding and are looking to utilize the funding to construct more projects.
Position Summary: The company is seeking a Director, Capital Markets to join their Boston office. This individual will have the opportunity for future growth and development amongst a group of high-achieving professionals. The ideal candidate will possess an entrepreneurial mindset and have ambitions to accelerate the company's growth through their ability to lead and make informed business decisions.
Location: Boston, MA (hybrid work)
The responsibilities of the Director include:
- Manage the day-to-day tasks and responsibilities of future debt, tax equity and cash equity transactions.
- Develop, manage, and refine portfolio level financial models for internal and external use.
- Collaborate with Business Development, Policy, Engineering,
- Construction, amongst other business units to fully diligence portfolios of assets prior to bringing to market.
- Coordinate the development of marketing material for upcoming financing opportunities: summary presentations, confidential information memorandum (CIM), etc.
- Build and manage timelines for various internal and external parties to ensure on-time deliverables.
- Anticipates how company, industry, and macroeconomic conditions and events will affect liquidity, interest rates, and access to capital markets
- Proactively review existing portfolio financings and upcoming financing pipeline to generate attractive new opportunities (e.g. private placement offerings, ABS offerings, etc.)
- On-going portfolio management initiatives (e.g. revenue and offtake mix, customer churn, etc.)
- Manage multiple workflows and internal relationships simultaneously through delegation to and oversight of junior members of the Capital Markets team
- Manage external third-party relationships including but not limited to lenders, tax equity investors, bond rating agencies, consultants, etc.
- Interact with central data systems and software development team to create reusable interfaces
- Consolidate and analyze financial data (budgets, cash flow forecasts, etc.)
- Support senior management and FP&A Director with financial planning and analysis
The Director should have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years of investment banking, valuation, accounting, computer science, applied mathematics, quantitative analytics or relevant work experience preferred
- Strong proficiency in MS Office software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Proficient in quantitative analytics and experience with Python, SQL, C#, Java, .NET, and VBA is preferred, but not required
