The Role:
The Controls Engineer will assist in the design, fabrication, programming, installation, commissioning/testing, & support of control systems. These systems typically include process instrumentation, control panels, motor controls, power monitoring, PLCs and HMIs Systems.
Responsibilities/Skills/Experience:
- Bachelor of Science Degree
- 5+ years experience as an Electrical/Controls Engineer performing design, programming, installation and startup tasks.
- Programming experience using programmable logic controllers (PLCs), primarily Allen-Bradley
- Experience across a wide variety of industries
- Must possess skills to troubleshoot issues with components within a control panel.
- Must possess effective oral, written, & digital communication skills.
- Must be able to easily interact with other staff & assist in communications with clients, customers, engineers, & contractors.
- Must be able to identify and solve problems in a timely manner.
- Must be a self-learner and be able to work independently
