Job Title: Construction Management Lead

We are currently seeking an experienced Construction Management Lead to join our team in Virginia. Position Overview:
As a Construction Management Lead, you will oversee a variety of projects, including transit, rail, water/wastewater pump stations, and federal/military installations. Experience in federal, military, transit, aviation, or educational projects is highly desired, while someone with predominantly DOT experience may not be the best fit for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage multiple large-scale construction management projects, including WMATA, Virginia Rail Express, Jefferson Laboratories, Army Corps Ammunition Depot, and Water/Wastewater Pump Station buildings.
- Provide mentorship to a team of 7 professionals, ranging from Senior PMs to Construction Inspectors and Project Engineers with varied levels of experience
- Maintain strong client relationships, ensuring project success and satisfaction, while managing project budgets, timelines, and deliverables.
- Collaborate with department managers to foster a harmonious and inclusive work environment.
- Ensure effective project delivery while balancing office and site visits, including monthly travel to Virginia Beach, Herndon, and Richmond.
- Attend one national conference annually
Qualifications:
- 15+ years of experience in construction management
- Strong project experience in sectors such as federal, transit/rail, aviation, or education; military background is a plus
- Proven ability to lead diverse teams and work collaboratively across genders, races, and backgrounds.
- Licensure is preferred but not mandatory, as project expertise is more important than the type of work.
- Ability to make independent decisions, work autonomously, and create a flexible schedule.
- Willingness to mentor and be mentored, with potential to step into a regional or national leadership role in the next 5-8 years.
